Dear Alan,
Finally see this book be bpublished.
I live in Taiwan. Want to ask one question. Because I live at Asia. Ship from Amazon will cost too many days to deliver.
Did this book provide pdf version to ship?
thanks :)
I think all Apress books are in PDF form as well nowadays, xdite. Look at Apress.com for the book and you can usually order from there. PDF is usually half the price of the print version (but, nicely, the author gets more royalties on it ;-))

As Peter said, you can purchase the PDF directly from Apress at their website.
I can't wait till I get my copy. I have been wanting to build something for a while in the social networking arena, but most of my experience is in ecommerce, so I am really excited about your new book.
Hi Alan,
I got your book in the mail yesterday, I'm very excited to run through it, it's perfect for what I am trying to do.
I saw on your amazon.com blog post that the railscoders.net page will be up very shortly, any idea how much longer?
Thanks again
Jon

The book is available but not the PDF, why does Apress have to tease like that! :-D
Looking forward to reading the book, seems great.
Bought the pdf version from Apress and did a scan through it last night. The book is exactly what i need for my new project, especially considering my lack of experience in Rails. Thanks for the effort, I'll be busy for the next couple of weeks doing the full application from start to finish.
Just received my copy today! Yay! Had a quick flip through and is all looking pretty good looking forward to reading it properly. I'd just like to say cheers Alan, the book is much appreciated. Anyone thinking of buying it..stop thinking and buy it already :)

This is defintely the best of the Rails books. I pre-ordered and may have been the first in the US to receive a copy. I have implemented through Chapter 4 on a Mac and then through chapter 7 on a Linux Fedora implementation. The book really lets you "load balance" the learning process.

Well, I am now on page xvii. The last sentence of the third paragraph says " You can find him online at...yes of course this address.
As I browse through the pages, seem interesting. We will see what's the result after all the reading.
